Second Annual Benefit for Dogwood Park
The Race for the Park and Kids for the Park races will be held Saturday, August 8, 2009, at Cookeville’s Dogwood Park. The Kids 1 Mile Fun Run will start at 7:28 pm and the 8K road race will start at 8:58 pm (CDT) with both finishing in the Park. The Kids Race will be on a closed course on Historic Dixie Avenue & will be free of charge to all children. Early registrants will receive a free T-Shirt. The race is an 8K run for ages 13 and up and will feature luminaries along the spine of the figure eight down Historic Dixie Avenue. The non-refundable fees for the 8K are $25 for early registration and $30 after the deadline or the day of the race. Early registration deadline ends July 17th.
